One Fremont Teen Saw a Problem. Instead of Walking Away, She Fixed It.

I'm proud to share my daughter Ruhi Jayasheela's Girl Scout Gold Award project, which brought five free menstrual product dispensers to Washington High School.

After discovering that many of the school's dispensers were outdated or broken, Ruhi raised over $1,000 through community donations, coordinated volunteers, and partnered with school staff to install reliable dispensers that will benefit students for years to come.

This project is currently awaiting final Girl Scout Council approval as part of the Gold Award submission process.

We hope this project inspires other students to look for needs in their own communities and realize that one person really can make a lasting difference.
