He describes the tense moments inside the smoke-filled home and says he wants residents to know local officers are here to help when emergencies strike.

Businesses may start charging more for services as rising gas prices persist (abc30.com) — Gas prices in Fresno have jumped about 20 cents per gallon each week for the past two weeks, now averaging $6.27 and squeezing local businesses' budgets. A Fresno County pest control company says fuel costs are forcing them to consider raising rates and rethink scheduling and expenses, signaling possible higher service prices for residents if prices keep climbing.
