The victim died Sunday after the stabbing in Morgan Hill.

Two 20-year-old men suspected of fatally stabbing a person in a field just outside of Morgan Hill over the weekend have been arrested, a Santa Clara County sheriff’s spokesman said.
Morgan Hill residents Spencer Smith and Chase Benoit were arrested on suspicion of homicide, sheriff’s Sgt. James Jensen said. Around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, deputies were notified by Morgan Hill police of a stabbing in a field north of Diana Avenue and Ringel Drive, Jensen said.
Deputies arrived to find the male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds, according to Jensen. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the spokesman said. Detectives determined that Smith was a suspect and arrested him on Sunday, Jensen said.
