CHP Seeks Driver Who Struck Pedestrian On Old Redwood Highway
A woman was left lying in the roadway with major injuries in the Sonoma County hit-and-run, according to the California Highway Patrol.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — California Highway Patrol is seeking to identify the driver in a hit-and-run collision Saturday night in Sonoma County that left a pedestrian with major injuries. CHP Officers responded at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, April 20 to Old Redwood Highway, south of Shiloh Road, to find a woman lying in the roadway, said CHP Santa Rosa Area Officer Juan Leon.
"Based on witness statements and her injuries, it is believed she was hit by an unknown vehicle," Leon said. "Following the collision, the unknown vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction."
CHP described the woman's injuries as major.

Investigators did find some broken lighting assembly pieces at the scene that are believed to be from the suspect vehicle.
"We are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect driver and vehicle," Leon said.
