Election Day In Windsor: Where To Take Your Mail-In Ballots

Windsor voters are deciding on Measure H. However, due to the Sonoma County wildfires, no polls will be open.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Due to the recent wildfires throughout Sonoma County, officials say local resources needed to conduct elections were redirected or became scarce. As such, California Gov. Jerry Brown issued an executive order declaring the election scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 7 will be conducted entirely by mail.

There are three local measures on the Sonoma County ballot Tuesday, affecting only the registered voters in those areas:

Also in Sonoma County, two candidates, Tom Giacinto and William Doyle, are vying for one seat on the Timber Cove County Water District, which serves the coastal community of Sea Ranch.

For registered Windsor voters who have yet to returned their ballot, there's good news. Completed ballots may be returned to the following locations before 8 p.m. on Election Day:

  • Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office, 435 Fiscal Dr., Santa Rosa
  • Windsor Town Hall, 9291 Old Redwood Highway, Building 400, Windsor

Additionally, the county registrar's office has a 24-hour dropbox.

Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked before or on Election Day and delivered to the Registrar of Voters office via the U.S. Postal Service or a bonafide private mail delivery company no later than three days after Election Day.
