Breaking: Service from Sonoma County to San Francisco International Airport will begin this week.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- The county Board of Supervisors morning approved a five-year agreement Tuesday morning with United Airlines to provide flights between the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport and San Francisco International Airport.
The three roundtrip United Express flights per week that begin Thursday will provide Sonoma County residents with access to more than 90 worldwide destinations served by United Airlines from San Francisco, Sonoma County Department of Transportation and Public Works director Susan Klassen said.
United also will use passenger data to plan future routes from the Sonoma County airport north of Santa Rosa, Klassen said.

The agreement includes incentives that include waiving airport landing fees, terminal rent, aircraft parking fees and joint use fees for one year starting Thursday.
The airport anticipates additional revenue of approximately $600,000 from additional parking fees, concession fees and passenger facility charges during the 2017-2018 fiscal year, Klassen said.
