Healdsburg Monitoring Possible PG&E Power Shutdowns
City officials say almost all Healdsburg residents and businesses within the city limits are city electric customers.
HEALDSBURG, CA — As PG&E continues to monitor weather conditions Tuesday for a possible public safety power shutoff, officials with the city of Healdsburg are also monitoring the situation. However, the city does not anticipate the potential shutoff would affect residents or businesses within city limits.
With a National Weather Service red-flag warning in effect for potentially critical fire weather conditions, some 33,500 customers in Sonoma County could be affected — but in eastern Santa Rosa, Geyserville, Windsor and the Sonoma Valley, including Sonoma, Healdsburg city officials said.
"As you know, the city operates its own electric-utility department — separate from PG&E — and almost all residents and businesses within the city limits are city electric customers," city officials said.
