I recently started a new adventure....
Let's start at the beginning...as a child I always dreamed of entertaining and singing. But at some point the world told me I had to grow up, get a job and have a family. So I did. Three children later, I still felt unfulfilled. Job after job, the same thing..
The only time I would get to sing or perform was that rare occasion I could get a sitter and go Karaoke.
That sweet chance to sing my heart out, wow the audience, then run home to be mom again.
Each time, folks would tell me how great I was, how I should be doing more...blah blah blah.
Well I am finally do it!
A few months back a customer of mine from Rotten Robbie's informed me that a pal of his was looking for a new lead singer for their group. He gave me the number and told me to call.
I took the info, came up with a hundred and one reasons when I could not do this, but after 3 days I made the call. I took the challenge, and boy am I grateful I did.
CircusMoon had been auditioning for 3 months and just could not find the right fit, until I walked in the door. After 2 weeks of call backs and other folks auditioning....I got the gig!
Fast forward 4 months....I'm up everyday at 4 am to walk the dog and head to work after that I travel to band practice for 3-4 hours every other day. I've cried, laughed and everything in between these pass few months. Pushing my self past my comfort zone. Learning original music, writing music, remembering my lyrics.
And now we are really. I am proud to finally show Healdsburg what I can do, what so many of my family and friends have been waiting for.
I, Sadona, am bring CircusMoon twice in January. The 1st event will be Jan 8th @ Frank & Ernie's as CircusMoon becomes the featured band for our local Open Mic. Then it's off to Rohnert Park for a show Jan 10th. After that we will be returning to Frank & Ernie's Jan 24th for a full show.
We have plans in the pipeline for videos, and a recording session soon... (slight freak out about that). But I know that I can do it, because I know I have my community's support and love!
I am only able to do this because I know your all there rooting me on.
Who knows where this will lead or how far we can go, I just want to entertain you while we are doing it!
