Nomination Deadline Extended For Sonoma Co. Seats

The Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor has extended the deadline for nominations of candidates to two seats on the Shoreline Unified School District’s Board of Trustees and to seats on several special districts.

Candidates are being sought for the Graton Community Services District, Bennett Valley Fire District, Bodega Bay Fire District, Monte Rio Recreation and Park District, Rains Creek/Hiatt Road County Water District, and Sonoma Mountain County Water District, according to the county.

In the Shoreline Unified School District, candidates are being sought for Area One and Area Three seats on the board of trustees, according to the county.

The Clerk-Recorder-Assessor extended the deadlines after incumbents did not file for reelection, county officials said. Candidates can get and file nomination papers at the Registrar of Voters Office, 435 Fiscal Drive, Santa Rosa.

The new deadline is 5 p.m., Aug. 12, county officials said.
