Officials ID Woman Killed When Car Went Off Hwy 1 Cliff Near Jenner
BREAKING: The car landed on the beach some 900 feet below the roadway, officials said,

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman who was found dead near a car that crashed off the side of state Highway 1 north of Jenner Monday as Britt Anna Erlandson, 59, of San Rafael.
Erlandson's 2004 Subaru Impreza drove off the side of Highway 1 north of Jenner around 4 p.m. Monday, California Highway Patrol Officer Kerri Post said.
The car traveled 900 feet down a hill and landed on the beach, and Erlandson's body was found about 600 feet down the hill, Monte Rio Fire Protection District Chief Steve Baxman said.

A passing motorist witnessed the crash, Baxman said.
The CHP, Cal Fire, Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, and Monte Rio, Russian River and Timber Cove fire protection districts responded to the crash and recovered the body late Tuesday morning.
