Hounds hunt for 3 in a row (healdsburgtribune.com) — Healdsburg football fans can celebrate back-to-back Greyhounds wins and look ahead to the next home game at Rec Park on Oct. 2 against Montgomery. Senior running back Frank Rea powered the latest victory with four touchdowns, while a strong defensive effort helped secure a 35-24 road win and set up a possible three-game streak.
   

4. Rescued as a baby, Healdsburg mink returns to Russian River (pressdemocrat.com) — A rescued baby mink found in a Healdsburg yard earlier this summer has been released back into the Russian River south of town after nearly three months of rehabilitation. Staff from Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue carefully prepared the pair of young minks for life in the wild, choosing a secluded stretch of river away from homes so they can hunt, explore, and thrive on their own.
