At the peak of the incident, 80 firefighting personnel were assigned to the blazes, including 20 engine crews, six water tenders and three bulldozers.

"If you live in No. Sonoma County, please be vigilant," California state Sen. Mike McGuire said on Twitter. "There have been multiple suspicious fire starts over the last several hours. Fire engines /personnel have staged in the Healdsburg area to perform quick attack on each of the blazes. Be on the look-out for suspicious activity."

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office confirmed its response to several fires late Monday in the greater Healdsburg area but said no evacuations were necessary.

Crews remained in the area Tuesday monitoring for hot spots.

Each fire within the incident was under investigation, Zander said, asking anyone with information about any of the fires to call the Cal Fire tip line at 800-468-4408.
