DUI Checkpoint Planned In East County
- The checkpoint is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Friday and end at 3 a.m. Saturday in Lemon Grove, officials said.

- Do you recognize this man? He is wanted in connection with burglaries in Encinitas and Carlsbad.

1 Dead In Deputy-Involved Shooting In Vista: UPDATE
- A documented gang member wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant was fatally shot by deputies Wednesday.
- Three non-injury crashes occurred in the area following the initial collision, according to the CHP, prompting a SigAlert.
Man Accused Of Running Down Motorcycle Officer To Stand Trial
- Roberto Ignacio Flores, 26, is charged in the attack on Oceanside police Officer Brad Hunter, a 29-year veteran of the department.
- Two vehicles collided and went over the side of the road Wednesday near Bear Valley Parkway and Birch Avenue.
Marine Struck By Suspected Drunk Driver In Oceanside Dies
- Nicholas Kursinskis, 25, died Saturday morning at Scripps Memorial Hospital three days after he was hit by a suspected drunk driver.
2 Arrested After Stolen Car Crashes In Escondido
- The crash occurred near the corner of E. Washington Avenue and N. Quince Street in the west end of Escondido, police said.
DUI Arrests Down, Fatalities Up Over July 4 Weekend In San Diego County
- There were 62 DUI arrests reported throughout San Diego County over the holiday weekend, down from 79 arrests reported last year.
