Flintridge Bookstore Presents Check to LCHS PTA

The year's first 9-12 PTA meeting at started off with a check for almost $3,000.

As parents gathered into the state-of-the-art campus IRC building this week, PTA President Susan Dodge introduced Cindy Steckbeck, community liason for . The owner of the bookstore Lenora Wannier was present, along with Catherine Linka, the buyer of children and teen books, and Sandy Willardson from marketing. 

The first item on the agenda was for the 9-12 PTA to receive a check for $2,928.54 from this nice group of ladies.

Sandy Steckbeck explained to the group of more than 40 parents, "Ten percent of the sale of every Core literature book purchased by a parent or student is given back to each PTA in our community."

Think twice before you leave La Canada Flintridge to purchase needed items. Many can be found right here along Foothill Boulevard If you purchase a Core book from another bookstore outside our community, our local schools don't benefit from the sale.
