Camino Health Center Auxiliary Fashion Show Raises $250,000

Auxiliary continues its tradition of beginning the holiday shopping season with a fashion show featuring South Coast Plaza retailers.

Consistently rated among the top luncheons in Orange County, the 2014 Camino Health Center Auxiliary Fashion Show was held on November 25, 2014 at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. More than 400 guests were welcomed by tuxedo-clad gentleman and escorted into the event.

This year’s runway show featured fashions from Anne Fontaine, Bally, Brunello Cucinelli, Diane von Furstenberg, DKNY, Donna Karan, Façonnable, Loro Piana, Marni, MaxMara, Saks Fifth Avenue, St. John and Stuart Weitzman, and informal modeling from Salvatore Ferragamo.

One of the highlights of the event is always the premier silent auction and luxury opportunity drawings. This year’s opportunity drawings included an $8,000 OMEGA Ladymatic timepiece from Tourbillon Boutique, Napa Valley get-away in a 1920’s restored Craftsman home, Refresh and Renew cosmetic surgery package and an iconic Bally Bloom handbag with the matching wallet.

“Camino Health Center is truly blessed to have the support and engagement of the Auxiliary,” shared Debra Drew, chief executive officer of Camino Health Center. “Since it was formed in 1985, the Auxiliary has raised more than $6 million to enhance the health and quality of life in our community.”

Camino Health Center is a federally qualified health center in San Juan Capistrano and one of the 9,000 health centers caring for the 23 million Americans who are uninsured, newly jobless or the working poor. The center is currently serving only a small fraction of the population in south Orange County who need affordable care. The goal is to grow and expand services to meet the needs of all.
