CERT Enrollment Opens For Laguna Beach Residents: How To Sign Up
Laguna Beach residents looking to prepare themselves in the event of an emergency were urged to sign up before classes fill up.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Are you looking to be more emergency-ready in Laguna Beach?
The Laguna Beach Community Emergency Response Team Program is holding the CERT Fall Training Academy starting Sept. 14.
Residents who participate in the program will be a part of a nationally supported, locally implemented initiative that teaches people how to prepare themselves for natural disasters and hazards that could impact their community.

CERT classes run from Sept. 14 to Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Community and Susi Q Center, organizers said.
The program consists of 25 hours of classroom and hands-on training, and participating is free of charge — however, residents must attend all sessions to complete the program.

Applications are open to people who live or work in Laguna Beach. Participating students must be at least 16-years-old.
