Hobie, the one-eyed rescue dog from Laguna Beach, is one of 10 adorable pups in the running for PEOPLE's World's Cutest Rescue Dog contest.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A Laguna Beach rescue dog is competing for the 2023 PEOPLE's World's Cutest Rescue Dog contest, and residents can help by voting for Hobie until Sept. 22.
Hobie, a one-eyed rescue dog from the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, was rescued after being found in Tijuana with severe glaucoma in his left eye.
After being rescued by the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, he was able to get the medical attention he needed to live a full life.

Now, Hobie is one of ten adorable finalists in the running for 2023 PEOPLE's World's Cutest Rescue Dog contest.
Voting runs until Sept. 22, and the three dogs with the most votes will more on to the final round, where celebrity judge Miranda Lambert, editors from People and members of the PEDIGREE brand will pick the grand prize winner.

The grand prize winner will receive a custom photoshoot, a feature in PEOPLE magazine and on People.com, a year's supply of dog food from the PEDIGREE brand and a $1,000 donation toward the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter.
