Man Killed on PCH Identified
A 41-year-old man died Sunday night when he was struck by a car while walking on Pacific Coast Highway.

A 41-year-old man who was fatally injured when he was struck by a car in Newport Beach was identified today by the Orange County Coroner’s office.
Eric Williams was struck at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday on westbound Pacific Coast Highway east of Superior Avenue, according to Newport Beach police Lt. J. Cartwright and the Orange County Coroner’s office.

Williams was transported to a hospital and died about 45 minutes later, according to the Orange County Coroner’s office.
The car’s driver remained at the scene, Cartwright said.
