Arrest No. 7 Made In Slaying Of Wildomar Man

The body of Frery "Freddy" Coronel was discovered by a hiker over a mid-August weekend near Ortega Highway.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A seventh suspect was arrested Wednesday in Lake Elsinore in the murder of a Wildomar man, Frery "Freddy" Coronel, 31, whose body was discovered by a hiker over a mid-August weekend in the Cleveland National Forest, according to officials.

After a surveillance operation, the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit shortly after 3 p.m. arrested Victor Lindzy , 48, at his Lake Elsinore residence on the 16500 block of Joy Street, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

Following an interview with Central Homicide Unit investigators, a search warrant was served at Lindzy’s home, where evidence reportedly was recovered in connection with Coronel's homicide, the department said.

On Saturday, Aug. 17, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff Station responded to a report from a hiker of a deceased male, in an open area west of the roadway at South Main Divide about three-and-a-half miles south of Ortega Highway.

CalFire initially responded and pronounced Coronel deceased at the scene. Based on trauma found on the victim, a crime scene was secured, and a homicide investigation was launched, deputies said.

Previously arrested as suspects in the man's slaying were: Tyrone Jones, 37, of Yorba Linda, on Sept. 19; Melissa Unger, 23, of Lake Elsinore, on Sept. 11; Christina Meza, 30, Christian Meza, 28, and Alejandro Villegas, 25, all of Lake Elsinore, arrested in late August; plus Roberto Camacho, 43, of Lake Elsinore, who was in custody out of the county in late August, with plans for his transport to Riverside County.

Bringing the suspect pool to seven, Lindzy was arrested for suspicion of murder, torture and gang enhancements and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta, the agency said.
