Body Found Off Dirt Road In SWR: Sheriff's Department
Riverside County Sheriff's officials are investigating the death as a homicide.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A man's body was found lying in a culvert off a dirt road in Southwest Riverside County on Monday night, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reports. The man, who has not been identified, was discovered around 8:20 p.m.
According to sheriff's Sgt. Ben Ramirez, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station were sent to the scene after someone reported a body in the area of Keystone Drive and McPherson Road.
"Upon arrival, deputies were directed to a culvert southeast of Keystone Dr. and Cakes Pl., in the unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore," Ramirez said in a news release. "They located a deceased male with obvious trauma, in the culvert."

Ramirez said deputies "secured the area as a crime scene " and homicide detectives were sent to take over the investigation.
"The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time," he said.
