Elsinore Special Op Nets 9 Arrests, 15 Tickets

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Several people were arrested, and even more cited, during a recent sheriff's enforcement operation in Lake Elsinore. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department says a total of nine people were jailed on various charges, while 15 people received tickets.

Between March 25 and 29, the Lake Elsinore Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team headed out to the city's Business District and "conducted high visibility patrol and enforcement" after officers had "identified an increase in criminal activity" in the area, according to sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Warrington.

Warrington said police were working in a "proactive effort to reduce crime in the area" of Central and Collier avenues.

In a press release, Sgt. Warrington identified those arrested and accused them as follows:

• Sean Becerra, 33, of Lake Elsinore, Driving on a Suspended License Warrants.
• Peter Benavidez, 35, of Lake Elsinore, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Felony Probation Violation.
• Kimberly Bourland, 51, of Lake Elsinore, Possession of Methamphetamine Warrant.
• Jessica Eaglen, 27, of Lake Elsinore, Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Child Endangerment Warrant, Felony Identity Theft Warrant.
• Brittnee Guevara, 28, of Lake Elsinore, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Heroin Warrant.
• David Liebinger, 30, of Lake Elsinore, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Warrant.
• Robert Lynch, 29, of Temecula, Vehicle Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Parole Violation.
• Christopher Westwood, 57, of Lake Elsinore, Trespassing
• John Whittle, 27, of Lake Elsinore, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
