LAKE ELSINORE, CA — More than 2,700 elementary students from 16 local schools participated in Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District’s annual “Water is Life, Use it Wisely” poster contest. Each year this contest promotes water conservation in a fun and colorful way. It helps instill the value and importance of water for not only humans, but all life on Earth.
EVMWD recognized 25 out of the over 2,700 student entries from across its service area. Winners ranged from kindergarten through fifth grade and represented their school at the ceremony. The contest is just one of the many education programs that EVMWD has sponsored for over 25 years.
“It is truly amazing to see the creativity and talent that comes from our students each and every year,” said EVMWD Board President Harvey R. Ryan. “These young minds are helping to shape the future of water conservation in California.”
