Elsinore Warrant Enforcement, Homeless Outreach Nets 6 Arrests
Sheriff's officials say they also offered assistance to dozens of people including mental health, transitional housing, & shelter resources.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Riverside County sheriff's officials swept through parts of Lake Elsinore this week in an "outreach operation" designed to serve warrants and contact those who may need assistance in the community. In the end, six people were arrested on various charges, 19 tickets were issued and 10 people accepted help for services, according to police.
The operation was held Saturday and involved officers from the Lake Elsinore Police and Riverside Sheriff's Homeless Outreach Team, as well as volunteers from Social Work Action Group (SWAG), Riverside County Behavioral Health, and Lake Elsinore Dream Center, according to sheriff's Sgt. James Woodland.
"During the operation, a total of 16 homeless camps were visited, resulting in 37 people being contacted and offered resources and support services such as mental health, transitional housing, and shelter resources," Woodland said in a news release. "Of the 37 people contacted, 10 accepted assistance."

In addition, 19 people were ticketed and released for various misdemeanor warrants, according to Woodland. Six others were arrested and taken to jail.
Woodland said those arrested included: David Burcham, 57, of Lake Elsinore on suspicion of public intoxication; Pati Lomeli, 25, of Lake Elsinore on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs; David De La Rosa, 25, of Lake Elsinore on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs; Jeremy Derain, 36, of Lake Elsinore on a felony drug charge; Reynaldo Salgado, 43, of Lake Elsinore on a felony drug charge; and Brian Morgan, 29 of Temecula on a felony weapons warrant service.
