Fire Spreads From One Home To Another In Perris
"Both homes are now involved with fire," the Riverside County Fire Department reported Thursday.

PERRIS, CA — A house fire that broke out in Perris on Thursday has spread to a neighboring residence, the Riverside County Fire Department reports. The fire was first reported around 1:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Ranch Street, near Shadow Court.
"The first arriving truck company reported smoke and fire from a single story, single family residence with extension to the roof of a neighboring residence," Fire Spokeswoman Tawny Cabral said. "Both homes are now involved with fire."
Eight engine crews and a truck company, numbering about 30 personnel, battled the fire for 30 minutes before fully containing it. The firefighters were expected to complete mop-up operations by 3:30 p.m.

It was unclear whether either property was occupied at the time.
SoCal Edison and SoCal Gas Co. technicians were summoned to make repairs to damaged lines, according to reports from the scene.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
