Firefighters Cut Person Free From Newport Road Crash
Fire officials reported injuries in the wreck.

MENIFEE, CA — Two people were hospitalized on Tuesday night in a Menifee crash, the Riverside County Fire Department reported. At least one of them had to be cut free from the wreckage.
The wreck happened around 10 p.m. along Newport Road at Antelope Road, according to Fire Spokeswoman Jody Hagemann. More than a dozen firefighters responded to the scene to assist.
"Two patients were transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries," Hagemann said of the crash.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash. Additional details were not immediately available.
