Victim Trapped Inside Burning RivCo Home, 3 Dogs Die In Blaze
The home was fully ablaze when firefighters arrived to find people trapped inside.

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — At least one person was hospitalized after being trapped inside a burning single-story home early Thursday, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department shared. Several pets died in the fire, and one of the victims was a 14-year-old boy, according to ABC7 reports.
Shortly before 2 a.m., firefighters arrived at the scene at the 3000 block of Pacific Avenue to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
"One victim was trapped, and quickly rescued from the structure, and transported to a local area hospital by ambulance in an unknown condition," Cal Fire spokesperson Jasmine Wood said.

Three dogs died as a result of the blaze, and the father of the boy told reporters that "he was in a deep sleep, and they had to break a window to get him out," according to ABC7.
A second alarm response arrived at the scene to continue work on the home, and firefighters departed by 8 a.m., she said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and as of this report, there were no further updates on the patient's condition.
