Gas Leak Briefly Shuts Down Corona Road At I-15

CORONA, CA — A gas leak led authorities to shut down a short section of Foothill Parkway in Corona near Interstate 15 for about an hour Thursday.

The Corona Fire Department reported the leak just after 9:30 a.m.

The road was shut down in both directions from I-15 to State Street, according to the fire department. The southbound El Cerrito Road off-ramp to I- 15 was also closed.

Just after 10:30 a.m., the fire department reported that the leak had been closed and all roads were re-opened to motorists.

The cause of the leak was not immediately clear.
