WILDOMAR, CA — A hazmat incident at a Southwest Riverside County Kaiser Permanente facility has prompted officials to evacuate the entire medical center on Thursday after multiple people were hospitalized. The Riverside County Fire Department reports that they were called to "a report of an air conditioner not working and an employee feeling ill."

"Firefighters arrived on scene, located three employees and requested a hazmat response to the incident," said April Newman of the fire agency.
Soon thereafter, another three people reported feeling ill, she said. All six were taken by ambulance to an area hospital. In the meantime, firefighters also helped evacuate the entire building.
By 1:17 p.m., crews had examined the building, but did not find the source of whatever made the people feel sick.
"Riverside County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team has exited the building with a zero reading," Newman said. "They are going to do one more test and reevaluate."
