Investigation Continues After Woman Found Dead In Mead Valley

MEAD VALLEY, CA — Riverside County sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found mortally injured in unincorporated Mead Valley near Perris, authorities said Monday.

Deputies responded at about 4:20 p.m. Friday to a call of an unconscious person in the area of Brown and Kinney streets, said Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Richard Carroll.

"Upon arrival, they found a female adult with obvious trauma," Carroll said.

Paramedics attempted to save the woman's life but she died from her injuries at the scene, he said.

Her name was not released pending notification of relatives and no additional details were available.
