Lake Elsinore DUI Saturation Patrol Results Released

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A Lake Elsinore DUI saturation patrol over the weekend netted one arrest and more than a dozen citations, sheriff's officials said. The operation was held Friday night.

Sheriff's officials say they made 28 vehicle enforcement stops and cited a total of 19 motorists for not driving with a valid license.

"Last year Lake Elsinore Police Department investigated 34 DUI collisions that killed 4 people and injured 11 others," police said.

Another DUI saturation patrol is planned in town March 8.

Funding for the operation was provided by state and federal grants.
