Motorcyclist Hurt In Collision With Street Sweeper

JARUPA VALLEY, CA - A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday in a collision with a street sweeper truck in Jurupa Valley. The crash occurred just before noon on Market Street, south of 24th Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Market Street was partially closed at the scene to provide emergency crews space to maneuver.

An engine crew encountered the motorcycle rider lying in the roadway next to his overturned bike and the street sweeper. The cyclist's identity was not released.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies said no details were immediately available about how the collision occurred, or who was at fault.

The cyclist was taken to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of minor-to-moderate injuries. The sweeper driver was not hurt."
