Motorist Dies In Elsinore Crash Involving Street Sweeper
Paramedics arrived within a few minutes and pronounced a woman dead at the scene.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A woman was killed Friday when her SUV plowed into a street sweeper in Lake Elsinore. The collision happened about 3:35 a.m. on state Route 74, between Ardenwood Way and Rosetta Canyon Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Paramedics arrived within a few minutes and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
The sweeper operator was not injured, Sgt. James Woodland said.

The highway was shut down for six hours while a preliminary investigation was conducted.
Woodland said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
