• Lake Elsinore's Annual 'Trunk Or Treat' Halloween Event Returns Oct. 10 (patch.com) — Families in Lake Elsinore can look forward to the city's free Trunk or Treat celebration returning to Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. With more than 60 decorated trunks, candy, amusements, a DJ, and a haunted house, residents can also sign up to host a trunk or participate as food vendors.
   

• Giants' No. 17 prospect delivers on promise by spearheading Single-A no-hitter in Cal League Finals (mlb.com) — Lake Elsinore baseball fans saw the Storm fall 9–1 to San Jose in Game 2 of the California League Finals, as Giants prospect Argenis Cayama led a combined no-hitter. The best-of-three series now heads to a decisive Game 3 in San Jose, with the league championship on the line.
