Police Seize 21 Weapons, Drugs In Elsinore, SWR Warrant Sweep
Police say they were investigating a recent assault involving a local motorcycle club.

SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A total of six people — five men and one woman — were recently arrested in a gang task force warrant sweep in Southwest Riverside County that netted nearly two dozen weapons, the Murrieta Police Department announced this week.
The operation was held on Nov. 6 and involved the service of 10 search warrants in Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, and Oceanside, according to a news release from police.
"The warrants were related to a handgun related assault with a deadly weapon investigation believed to be related to a local motorcycle club," police said.

By the end of the day, police had recovered a total of 21 weapons "including at least one that had been converted into a fully automatic assault rifle," police said. They also seized an ounce of methamphetamine and cocaine, along with hundreds of dollars "related to the sales of drugs."
Six people were arrested during the operation, which involved agencies from across Riverside County and Oceanside. Police said another four people will face charges "related to evidence located during the warrant services."
