Police Swarm Lake Elsinore In AB 109 Compliance Operation

Sheriff's officials say they surprised 78 individuals in the searches.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Law enforcement officers from various agencies converged on Southwest Riverside County this week in unannounced compliance checks for those convicted of crimes and now out on Probation, Mandatory Supervision, Parole, and Post Release Community Supervision, also called PRCS, via AB 109, the sheriff's department said.

The operation happened on Tuesday and involved more than 70 officers, according to sheriff's Sgt. James Woodland. Officials visited people in Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, and Lake Elsinore and their surrounding areas.

"The teams conducted 78 unannounced compliance checks during the operation to assure that local probationers and parolees are complying with their court-imposed terms," Woodland said in a news release. "Investigators from the teams looked for signs of ongoing criminal activity, while reporting positive findings for probationers who were following the terms of their rehabilitation."
