Railroad Canyon Widening Latest: Lost Road Improvements, Sat Work
Weekend work is planned on the large project.
From The City Of Lake Elsinore: Contractors on the Railroad Canyon Road Widening Project lost a day of work on Monday due to light rain. Therefore, weekend work is planned for this Saturday, May 4th on the Eastbound side of the roadway. Traffic control will be set up at 7 a.m. and taken down by 3 p.m.
This week, work started on the milling and repaving of the Eastbound side of the roadway and sidewalk work took place on the Westbound side.
At this time, night work is planned to begin on Sunday, May 12 and is expected to last until Friday, May 17 (if needed) at the intersections of Railroad Canyon Road with Grape St. and Canyon Hills Rd.

Closures are expected all week in both directions. Crews aim to keep closures to a minimum whenever possible, but early closures may occur to allow for extended construction hours as needed.
REMINDER: Slow for the cone zone. Please remain vigilant of posted speed limits and be cautious in construction zones.
