First Responder Program Expands

RSM is the latest city to join

The First Responders' "Grab and Go" group, led by Michelle Tan and Larissa Clark, was formed to show appreciation to our Police and Fire people by providing snacks (protein bars, granola bars, beef jerky) they can grab and go while they are on patrol. They've already given hundreds of bottle of Gatorade and thousands of quick snacks to the men and women who serve our City.

Now the group is expanding to Rancho Santa Margarita where the residents began a similar program last month.

In addition, the group plans to expand to begin showing appreciation to the fire fighters. Fire fighters don’t need the “Grab and Go” that Police appreciate, so the group is creating a “Come and Cook” program – once a month volunteers will come to a local fire station and make a meal for the fire fighters. Arrangements are now being finalized.
