• 1 Killed in Lake Forest Pedestrian Accident at Portola Parkway and Market Place (pacificattorneygroup.com) — An 83-year-old man died after being hit by a suspected drunk driver Thursday night at Portola Parkway and Market Place in Lake Forest, underscoring safety concerns at this busy intersection. Deputies say the victim later died at a local hospital, and a 48-year-old Lake Forest resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI as the investigation continues.
   

• Orange County restaurants shut down by health inspectors (Sept. 3-10) (ocregister.com) — Orange County health inspectors recently ordered several restaurants to close, including Kebab Planet on Lake Forest Drive in Lake Forest, for violations found between Sept. 3 and 10.
