The Great Escape: The Foothill Fountain and Patio by the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

There is just something so relaxing about the sound and sight of a water fountain.  Add in a good cup of coffee and a warm, sunny day, and watch me drift off to my happy place.  One of my favorite escapes is sitting on the patio by the outdoor fountain that is in between the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Olamendi’s in Foothill Ranch.  Its quiet corner location keeps traffic and crowds to a minimum, and the pop-up water fountain provides a fun place for kids to cool off on a hot day. There are quite a few restaurants in the center, including Flamer Broiler, Olamendi’s, California Fish Grill and Jersey Mike’s Subs, so grab your meal to go and head out to the patio to enjoy the fountain and some fresh air.

If I am lucky enough to get an hour to myself, I sit with a magazine and chai latte, enjoying the sounds of water hitting the pavement.  If a moment alone is not an option, I pack towels, put the kids in their bathing suits and let them splash and play. No nagging chores. No bored kids begging to be entertained. Just peace.
