I-5 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
5:30 to 7:30, Laguna Woods City Hall.
OCTA is planning to make some major changes at the intersection of El Toro Rd and the I-5. A few weeks ago they came to the City Council and tried to explain what they were planning, but it really wasn’t very clear. Hopefully they’ve got their act together so the July 25 “public workshop” will be more informative.

JULY 26
NAKASE PUBLIC MEETING
6:30
Nakase is considering selling their 122 acres to Toll Brothers who plan to build 800 homes along with giving land for an elementary school that SVUSD would have to build. The meeting is a Scoping Meeting for the Environmental Impact Report. When an Agency determines that an EIR will be required for a project, they send a Notice of Preparation to the State and all responsible and trustee agencies. The City holds a Scoping Meeting in order to consult with any person or organization that may be concerned with the environmental effects of the project. We are looking for comments on what issues they feel should be evaluated in the environmental document. It is also an opportunity to inform the public about the environmental process and how they can participate in the review of the Draft document.
