Economic Development Team and SMC Biz Students To Give Council Ideas for Pumping Up Business in Moraga
Everyone in town, it seems, has an idea on how to improve the ashen business environment in Moraga. Two very different reports will be presented to the Moraga Council Wednesday.

Since October 2010, Moraga's newly designated Economic Development Team has been gathering information, surveying residents and working on strategies to improve the business climate in town.
A snazzy looking community survey was emailed to residents and a business marketing class at Saint Mary's College also got involved - tasked with determining how the town could better partner with college students to keep business here. Now, the results of that survey are expected to be announced at Wednesday's Town Council meeting, and both the Economic Development Team and the SMC business students will detail their plans for getting the town back on track.
There have been similar efforts before, Moraga-Watchers have noted, but the town has adopted two goals for the economic team this year - namely creation of a retail ordinance and a conceptual vision for the Rheem Shopping Center, and new ideas are expected.
