Moraga police were called to the store March 6 after a person or persons unknown entered the location without use of force. Police said the thief or thieves turned off the store alarm and security cameras and gained entry into a locked safe without using force — taking an undetermined amount of cash.

Police said physical evidence was obtained, however, and that the investigation into the incident is continuing. Five former store employees were arrested for investigation of embezzlement last month.
