'Operation Welcome Home' Planning Celebration For Lafayette Marine

Operation Welcome Home is planning a welcome home celebration for: USMC Lance Corporal Andres Serrano,

When: Saturday - December 27 - 2:30pm

Where: 2066 Camel Lane - Walnut Creek, CA

On Friday the 19th, the WWR had the opportunity to help LC Andres Serrano’s family welcome him back to the Bay Area for Christmas when we met them at SFO for a flag line and an escort back to Lafayette.

This wasn’t the first time we’ve met Andres as he was part of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps-Diablo Squadron prior to joining the Marines in November of 2013.

He is currently serving in Washington DC as USMC Color Guard safeguarding our National colors.

Friday, we were able to welcome him home and escort his friends and family back home for a few days of R & R; but we’re not done with him.

The WWR will be escorting Andres and his family from a local restaurant in Lafayette to his aunt’s residence for a Community Welcome Home.

Hoping everyone can make it out to show Andres and his family how much the bay area appreciates his service. Please try to come out and show your appreciation for this marine, bring your flags, friends, and most important, your enthusiasm!
