'Armed and Dangerous' Man Sought in Marin City Shooting

Wilson has family living in Mill Valley, Fairfield and Richmond, sheriff's officials said.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in a shooting Friday in Marin City as 19-year-old Theophilus “Theo” Wilson.

The shooting was reported around 12:15 p.m. Friday.

The victim, a 41-year-old Marin City man, was found near 59 Cole Drive. He had surgery and remains in a hospital, sheriff’s Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

Wilson, a Marin City resident, is a black man about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 265 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes, according to Scardina.

“The firearm Wilson used during the shooting is still outstanding, and Wilson should be considered armed and dangerous,” Scardina said in a news release, adding that detectives are working on a warrant for his arrest.

Wilson has family living in Mill Valley, Fairfield and Richmond. He has no known vehicles and usually uses public transportation, Scardina said.

There were several witnesses to the shooting and sheriff’s officials are asking them to contact the sheriff’s investigations bureau at (415) 473-7265, according to Scardina. Callers may remain anonymous and become eligible for a cash reward by calling Bay Area Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
