Car Crashes Through Two Livermore Businesses
Police say the driver likely suffered from "pedal confusion."
LIVERMORE, CA — A car crashed through two Livermore businesses Monday afternoon, police officials said. The driver drove through the businesses in the 4400 block of First Street at about at 1:20 p.m.
According to police, the 76-year-old male driver, who was attempting to park his car, likely had “pedal confusion” and hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing him to drive through the businesses.
"The car drove through the unoccupied business, then made a sharp right, causing him to drive through the waiting room area of Super Cuts," Officer Ryan Sanchez said. "Luckily, no one was in the waiting room at the time."
