Coroner Officially Releases Names; Mom's Age Different From Previous Reports
The mother and child lived in Seaside, were visiting for family celebration.

The Alameda County coroner has identified a mother and her baby who were killed in an alleged DUI crash in Livermore Saturday, an official with the coroner’s bureau said.
Forty-six-year-old Seaside resident Esperanza Morales-Rodriguez and her 14-month-old daughter Ulidia Perez-Morales died after a vehicle crashed into a building in the 900 block of Murrieta Boulevard shortly before 6:50 p.m., according to police and the coroner’s bureau.
Thirty-five-year-old Livermore resident Brian Jones is suspected of driving while intoxicated, according to the Livermore Police Department. Police said they arrested Jones on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter
and driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury.

Livermore police Officer Ryan Sanchez said Jones was allegedly driving at high speeds on Murrieta Boulevard when he lost control of the vehicle. Sanchez said the mother and daughter were walking on a paved path between the sidewalk and an apartment complex when Jones’s vehicle allegedly struck them.
Medical personnel pronounced both mother and daughter dead where the vehicle hit them, Sanchez said.

Police said debris from the crash struck two boys who were taken to a hospital and were in stable condition Sunday.
