Firefighters Extinguish Livermore Vegetation Fire
Crews put out the fire before it could reach any structures.

LIVERMORE, CA - Livermore-Pleasanton firefighters extinguished a vegetation fire on Siena Road Wednesday evening. There were no injuries and no structures were damaged, according to Battalion Chief Jack Neiman-Kimel.
The total acreage burned was two acres or less. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to put out the flames once they arrived on scene, with another hour spent in mop-up operations. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Neiman-Kimel reminds everyone in the Livermore area that fire "season" is now year-round. He told Patch that despite winter rains, brush around the area is very dry. He urges everyone to use caution.
