Firefighters Tackle 11-Acre Grass Fire Near Livermore

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. Sunday on Altamont Pass Road, officials say.

LIVERMORE, CA — Firefighters say they quickly stopped an 11-acre grass fire Sunday near Livermore, along Altamont Pass Road.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. and firefighters with Cal Fire, Alameda County Fire and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department responded. The cause is undetermined.

There were no injuries and no property was damaged, Alameda County Fire said.

Firefighters even made some new pals along the way.

"Some friendly bovine friends kept E98 company while our members were hard at work!" Livermore-Pleasanton firefighters wrote.
