Glazer Tops Bonilla in Senate Race
With all precincts reporting, Glazer holds a strong lead.

Democratic candidate Steve Glazer is ahead in results from Tuesday’s special election for the District 7 California State Senate seat. With 455 out of 455 precincts reporting as of 10:41 p.m., Glazer had 54.08 percent of the vote, according to the Contra Costa County Elections Division’s unofficial results. Susan Bonilla, also a democrat, received 45.92 percent of the vote.
In Alameda County, unofficial results indicate Glazer picked up 56.94 percent of the vote with 190 of 190 precincts reporting as of 10:58 p.m. Bonilla received 43.06 percent of the vote, according to the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. District 7 includes parts of Contra Costa and Alameda counties, including Antioch, Concord and Livermore.
The District 7 seat was vacated last November by Mark DeSaulnier.
