Two Dogs Rescued, Fire Extinguished at Apartment Complex in San Lorenzo
Alameda County Fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said two dogs were found inside the unit during the fire.
Alameda County firefighters extinguished a fire at an apartment complex in unincorporated San Lorenzo this morning, a fire spokeswoman said. The one-alarm blaze was reported at 11:06 a.m. at a six-unit apartment complex at 15814 Via Granada, just off of Lewelling Boulevard, Alameda County fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire within 10 minutes of arriving on scene and reported no one was injured in the blaze, Knowles said. Two male dogs in the unit were rescued, according to Knowles said.
“Pepe and Tito were found adjacent to the garage that caught fire,” Knowles said.

Three units in the complex sustained smoke damage from the fire, which apparently originated in a garage on the first floor of the two-story building, she said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and an estimate of the damage it caused was not immediately available, Knowles said.
